7/8th Grade Course Overview:

  • Build a new website to house all of your class projects
  • Expanded history of computers from 1822-present but focused on the pc revolution (1975)
  • Overview of information theory; searching & sorting algorithms; compiling / decompiling code
  • building half adder, full adder, and 8-bit adder / subtractor
  • The basics of the Python coding language (tynker curriculum)
  • Writing simple math & game programs in Python (trinket platform)
  • writing simple, graphics-based (GUI) programs in python (trinket, codeskulptor, PyGames, pixelpad)*​
